The Seminar on the Collective Impact of Rural Preschool Education (The Seminar) is a project that was implemented by the Macao Tongchai Charity Association, Beijing Office and Leping Social Entrepreneur Foundation with scholars and government officials from a total of 12 higher education institutions and educational bureaus invited to explore extensively on how to use the “collective impact” methodology to address the issues in the field of rural preschool education.
The two-days’ seminar centered around three themes like“what is the collective impact?”“why we need the collective impact?”and “how we raise the quality of rural preschool education through the collective impact?” to share and make an in-depth discussion. After the introduction to the collective impact by the sponsoring bodies, other stakeholders of China’s rural preschool education had gained an initial understanding of the “collective impact”methodology, and then explored how to collectively address the issues of rural preschool education from their own perspectives and focuses. The Seminar was our first attempt to connect so many core members of stakeholder to learn and apply the “collective impact”methodology to practice.
The Macao Tongchai Charity Association provides funding for transportation, venue and food.
